Jody is amazing. We had used a different college company with our son in the Midwest. It was regimented and not very personal. Working with Jody was refreshingly different. Instead of regimented, Jody is organized, and encouraging. She helped my daughter to stay on schedule & therefore she completed all of her applications early, allowing for time to focus on senior year. Jody has a system for students so that they have all of their materials in one place on-line, and access to her notes. She also provides a dependable on-line method for scheduling meetings. Senior year is challenging and my daughter felt comfortable communicating with Jody on the best of days as well as the tougher days. She is dependable and accessible & takes kids where they are at in the moment, guiding them skillfully.

We are so grateful for Jody’s expertise, professionalism and calm during what can be a pretty stressful experience for students and parents. We wish we had signed on our daughters freshman year, but despite starting much later, Jody got her on track quickly. Jody takes time to really understand and listen to the student, while working within a family’s financial realities. Her recommendations made sense, and our daughter has received many acceptances. Jody is a treasure to work with, and full of information about exactly the field of study my daughter was interested in (environmental science). She was enormously helpful over the 4 months we worked with her, giving us inside info about colleges, advice for essay writing, financial aid tips, all in an organized and efficient way. Getting accepted into multiple colleges became easy in a very complicated business, and using Jody’s unique Student Portal was ongoingly helpful. I would wish for every student to work with Jody in their college process. She made it easy, exciting, and effective. Jody with College Counseling 4 U is a life saver. We had no idea how to approach the incredibly daunting process of getting our son into college. Jody is down to earth, accessible, knowledgeable, and organized. She took our son through the entire process of extra-curriculars to essays to applying to colleges to scholarships. She truly works MAGIC! Our son applied to 8 colleges and has been accepted to 6 (still waiting to hear back from 2) WITH scholarship offers. I can safely say there is little possibility that my daughter would have gotten into her college of choice w out Jody. I could not get her motivated – I got workbooks, I toured school with her, I made schedules, nothing was working to get her engaged in the process. I was referred to Jody by my daughter’s friend who completed a less hands-on workshop – so lots of different ways to work with Jody, but can’t recommend highly enough
the option of taking the pressure off the parents and having a skilled, kid-friendly professional guide the way. Thank you Jody!

Jody is an amazing college counselor! I worked with her from the end of Junior year through midway of my senior. I just got excepted to all the schools I applied for and I think a lot of that is owed to her, she helps with managing all of the confusing details and pairing you were schools that would be a good fit. I learned about a lot of schools that I don’t think I would’ve found without her. If you have any anxiety or worry about applying to college or details of the transition Jody would be perfect for you. She’s understanding, kind, flexible and super supportive!

Jody is an exceptional counselor in helping parents and students navigate the system of applying for colleges, writing essays and dealing with the entire process. Jody helped our son complete and submit his applications and essays early enough that he began receiving admission notices in December of his Senior year. As a result there is more time to research scholarships, IB and AP credit, and he has more time to decide which school to choose. Totally worth it!
